The R Graph Gallery
Yan Holtz
Hundreds of charts made with R, most of them with ggplot2, each shown next to the code that draws it. A sister site covers Python.
What you will find
- Chart types from basic to advanced, each with reproducible code
- Step-by-step pages that start from a default chart and build up to a polished one
- The Python Graph Gallery for the same charts in Python
What we can learn from it
- 01Reproducible charts: the code sits beside the picture
- 02Polish is a sequence of small steps, each one visible
Chart types you will meet there
Heatmap

Box plot

Violin plot
Mirrors a smoothed distribution around a centre line, showing the full shape of each group.
Streamgraph
A stacked area around a wandering centre line, showing the ebb and flow of many categories over time.
